The Assembly

of the bike that would have taken me 6 years took Billski about 22 minutes. I don't even think he looked at the directions. I'm really like riding it. It's very comfy, I know it will get a lot of use.

I've lost 34 pounds as of today - which is a bit more than Sophie weighs. Hard to imagine lugging her around all day every day, but that's the equivalent of what I was doing.

Plus, the physcial therapy is helping my shoulder already and that makes me very happy.

So Billski bought me

a recumbent exercise bike. That would be present number 1. After looking at the instructions today, present number 2 will be putting it together for me.

We believe in early childhood training

Sure, it might be an extra step in unloading the dishwasher, but he likes to help.

Recapping the week

It's June in Indiana and that translates to hot, humid, muggy, miserable weather and I hate being out in it for any reason for longer than 45 seconds - which is about as long as it takes to get from the house to the car and from the car into where I'm going. If anyone ever tries to get you to vacation in Indiana because of the beautiful summer weather, they're lying to you and you should be wary of such a person.

Unless I want to get up at 5 am to go walking, it is too gross by 8 to be outside - so I've been doing a Leslie Sansone video inside in the AC. This is a fun change of pace and it's pretty easy to entice others to come in out of the heat and do it with me. As of this morning, I've lost 33 pounds.

Jacob has been gone to Camp Brosend all week. I'm going to pick him in a couple of hours. I'm sure he will have great tales of adventure to share.

The other kids have been swimming just about every day this week once their school work is done. It's nice that they are of an age where they can stay at the pool by themselves for a couple of hours. It's even nicer that we live close enough that they can walk to it.

We had an insurance adjuster out yesterday because we had some ceiling shingles blow off in the wind storms. He found enough damage to justify replacing the whole roof. Thanking God for that :)

All of the materials for the second Bible study have arrived and I am excited to see people gearing up to begin that. Our final count is 18 ladies who will be doing the First Place 4 Health study. All 10 of the original group want to continue, so for now, I will be having 2 separate Bible studies going on.

Andi had another allergic reaction at work yesterday and another trip to the doctor. At least this time she was able to just go to her doctor and not the ER. More shots, more steroids, with an added bonus of daily pills and an appointment for allergy testing to be done.

Zac and Molly are getting along somewhat. Molly hasn't changed much, but he is determined to wait her out because he sees the makings of a good dog in her. If he does decide to get rid of her, Steve, (my ex-husband) has said Molly can come live there.

Physical therapy is pretty much horrible. Today I am supposed to start doing some stretching things at home with weights. Not looking forward to that at all.

Normally, I don't comment on news happenings, but all the people "mourning" Michael Jackson just kinda make me want to smack them up the side of the head. I won't waste a second of my life mourning for a child molester - but instead feel sorry for his victims whose parents took money in exchange for their silence. Those children were victimized by both Jackson and their parents.

Tomorrow I am going to go help with the fund raiser for our diabetes walking team at the east side Wal-Mart in Evansville. I plan on being there starting at 10 in the morning. Come on out and support us - or else, just click on my dad's face at the top of my blog and stay in comfort of your home.

As for me, I'll be the one enjoying the lovely southern Indiana summer weather that I love so much. Because this post is so long, you might have forgotten about our weather. If so, refer to paragraph 1.

Shoulder Impingement

Well, it was back to physical therapy today and for the first time while having therapy, I cried. Not cry, crying, but tears springing to the eyes and having to be wiped away before they spilled over crying. I'm talking serious ouches. There are still several positions I can't get my arm into - no matter how hard the therapist might like to try and shove them into....with an evil grin on his face.

According to the measurements that Andy (the Pain and Torture guy) made, I have less mobility now than when I stopped therapy originally - not the way things are supposed to be going.

Today I started some sort of shock therapy that is supposed to help relieve some of the inflammation. I will be doing that three times a week along with the therapy. Hopefully, within a month, things will be all better. In the meantime I can't do any weight lifting, washing the car, or mowing the yard. Not that I do a lot of that stuff anyway, but hey, I'm looking for the bright spot.
